As I have mentioned in the beginning, Remove Dups is a simple and easy to use app. When you launch this app for the first time, you will see the Start screen with just one button (icon), named as Browse. This button lets you select the desired folder which is required to be scanned for any duplicate files. Once you scan folders using this app, all the recently scanned folders also appear on the Start screen from where you can directly access them and scan again.
As soon as you choose a folder, the app will start scanning all the files within that folder. This happens pretty fast, within seconds of time.
After processing, the app will bring out all the duplicates in that folder. On the left side of the screen, you will see the list of files with their names and number of copies present in the specified folder. As you click on any one of them, the file along with its duplicates, and details like name, date, time, size, and path (where the picture is saved on your system), will be displayed on the right side.
A bottom flyout will also appear. On the left side of the bottom flyout, you will find options of Select All, Clear Selection, and Delete. You can choose a single file or all the files together by clicking on Select All, to delete. Tap on Delete button to delete the selected files.
On the right side of the bottom flyout, you will find Settings button. This button gives you choices to scan files by name, date and size. You can set your preferences by choosing the desired option or combination of options that you wish to apply for scanning.

My Verdict:
Remove Dups is a free Windows 8 app that lets you clean your system folders by deleting the unwanted duplicate files. The scanning happens really fast and takes just a few seconds. You can use this app to remove those unwanted files quickly, which otherwise would take time. However, somewhere I felt the app was not behaving properly, but all in all, it was able to identify most of the duplicate files present on my system. Try it and see how it works for you.
