Windows 8 Puzzle Game: Garbage Away
Garbage Away is a free puzzle game for Windows 8 and 8.1 in which the object of the game is to put the garbage in the correct garbage can. In the game, there are four garbage cans and the garbage falls from the top of the screen. At the very top of the screen, the name of the color is listed inside a box of some color. The twist is to put the garbage in the color of the box, and not in the color listed. For example, “green” may be written at the top of the screen in a red colored box, but that means that you need to toss the garbage in the red garbage can, and not the green garbage can. The text is there just to confuse you.

When you launch the game, you will be taken to an interface which looks like the screenshot below.
You can simply click on the Play button in the above screen to be taken to the mode selection screen where you can choose the mode of the game that you wish to play. You can choose from three modes, each progressively increasing in speed and difficulty.
Simply click on the desired mode and you will be shown a brief tutorial prompt. This can be seen in the screenshot below.
Simply click on the screen anywhere to start the game. Once started, you will be brought to the gameplay screen where you have to click on the correct garbage can at the bottom of the screen to make sure that the falling trash falls in the correct garbage can. The gameplay interface is shown below.
The game can be paused at any point of time by simply pressing the Esc. key of your keyboard.
From the pause menu, you can choose to resume, restart or end the game. If you click on the wrong garbage can at the bottom of the screen for three times, it’s game over for you. The wrong garbage cans cost one life each, and as you only have three lives before the game ends, make sure that you make the most of your remaining lives. When the game is over, you will be shown a prompt as can be seen in the screenshot below.
