Evolve: Hunters Quest is a well-designed game for Windows 8 and 8.1 which brings the elements of puzzle, role-playing and action all into one great package. The game has state of the art top notch graphics and has no ads at all. The gameplay is based on the match three type of puzzle game format, and when three similar types of puzzle blocks are matched, the avatar at the top of the puzzle fires bullets at the enemy monsters. The game has a perfectly awesome cinematic intro video which makes the entire gameplay experience a treat to watch, and throughout the game you will also encounter certain crate drops. You can open these crates to reveal credit bonuses, bones of beasts which you can resurrect and cast on your team, etc.

When you run the game on your device, you will be presented with the below interface.
Simply tap anywhere on the above screen to continue or head into the main gameplay screen of the game. If it’s the first time you are running the game, you will be in for a treat as a perfectly cinematic introduction video to the game will greet you. A screen capture of this is shown below.
You can skip the video at any time by clicking anywhere on the screen, although you wouldn’t want to do that, the video is just so entertaining! Anyways, when the video is skipped or gets over, you will be taken to the gameplay screen where the first thing you will see is a brief tutorial.
When the three similar pieces of the puzzle are slid together and matched, a combo is formed and your team will launch an attack on the beasts at the top of the screen. You can see a combo of four being made in the screenshot below.
Your avatar is at the right of the screen, and the beasts at the left. The avatar will fire bullets on the beasts of the power according to the element you have matched. There are also certain special elements which boost your team’s health. You can see your team mate’s health being boosted in the screenshot below when a combo of health elements is created.
Throughout the game, you will also encounter crate drops. Consider it your lucky day if you encounter one! You can see a crate dropped in the screenshot below.
To open a crate, simply tap on it.
Now, you’ll be taken back to the gameplay. Once the beasts at the top of the puzzle have been defeated, the level ends and you are taken to a progressively more difficult level. But before that, you will see a Victory message along with your rewards as can be seen in the screenshot below.
