YouNote is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Using this free Windows 8 Notes app…
When you install and launch YouNote on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with an interface which resembles the below screenshot.
In the above screen you will be able to see the quick guide of the app. You can either choose to view the guide, or you can skip through the guide via the Skip button at the bottom of the screen. Once you have browsed through the guide or skipped it, you will be presented with a screen where you can create a new notebook for taking down notes. The new notebook can easily be created by clicking on the + button, as shown in the screenshot below.
Once you click the + button, you can specify the name of the notebook and click anywhere outside to save it. Then you can click on it to go to the note adding and editing page. This page looks like the below screenshot.
As you can see, you can simply type away in this page to add the text for the note. You can also use the toggles at the top to perform various other functions.
The above button allows you to add a new page into your notebook. Now let’s see what the other toggles do.
The toggle shown above allows you to import an image from your gallery, or allows you to open up your camera to click a photo and attach it to your note.
The toggle shown in the above window allows you to export the note in a particular type of format. For instance, you can choose to export your note in the image form, or you can choose to share the current page with other apps via the Share charm. If you look closely in the screenshots above, you will be able to see a small circle menu on the screen. This menu gives you control to various features like switching to free hand mode, text mode, eraser mode, etc.
So my overall impressions of the YouNote app are fantastic. This Windows 8 notes app has everything that makes it a truly amazing app to be used and to manage your important notes on your Windows 8 device.
YouNote is a completely amazing Windows 8 notes app that you can use on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 device and create powerful notes and collection of notes (in the form of notebooks) on your Windows 8 device. The app is completely free, and the other features like support for adding images, exporting notes as images, etc., makes the app all the more better. This, in my opinion is the perfect Windows 8 note taking app in the App Store, and if you frequently use your Windows 8/8.1 device for taking down quick notes, this app is meant for you!
