JazzRadio is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Main features of JazzRadio for Windows 8 and 8.1:
When you install and run the JazzRadio app on your Windows 8 or 8.1, you will be presented with an interface where you can choose the channel for music playback. This interface can be seen clearly in the screenshot below.
You can simply scroll to the right via the scroll bar at the bottom to reveal the categories that the app has to offer. When you scroll, you will be presented with various categorically sorted tiles as you can see in the screenshot below.
You can choose to play back music of a particular style, or you can also choose to playback the featured content on your device. When you click on a particular style, you will be presented with the various music stations which you can simply click on to begin the music playback. Once the music playback has started, you will be presented with the below interface.
In the above screen, you will be able to see the playback controls at the bottom left of the screen which you can use to toggle the playback settings of the app. For people who want to multitask, you will be glad to know that the app fully supports snapped mode as well as background playback. In fact, you can see the app in snapped mode in the below screenshot.
The app remains fully functional even when snapped or left running in the background. This makes it very versatile and suitable for instances wherein you would want to work on something else while listening to soothing jazz music instead of just having the app’s interface opened up at all times.
JazzRadio is a very well designed app which gives you access to hundreds of jazz music internet radio stations on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device. The app makes for a great tool that you can have on your device if you want to listen to some soothing and relaxing jazz music on your device, and the overall design of the app leaves almost nothing more to be desired. The app is ad free as well!
I would definitely rate this app a 5 out of 5!
