Poki for Pocket is available for free from the Windows App Store.
The features of Poki for Pocket for Windows 8 and 8.1:
When you run the app on your device, you will see helpful tips on using the app like so.
You can either watch the video of these tips or you can click on the Skip button at the bottom of the screen to skip all these tips. Now, you will be taken to a screen which allows you to login or register. As I didn’t have an account, I chose to register.
Upon clicking on Register button at the bottom of the screen, I was taken to a web browser interface, and the best part was that the link opened up in the app itself without firing up my actual web browser.
After signing up for getpocket, I was able to authorize Poki and once that was done, I was presented with the main interface of the app itself.
You can add an article to the app for reading purposes by clicking on the Add button. Once that’s been pressed, you can copy and paste the link to the article that you wish to read as shown in the screenshot below.
Once you have pasted the link and clicked on the add button, you will be shown an interface which tells you that your article has been added to the app.
Simply click on it at the right side of the screen and it should open up in a nice reader interface.
You can tweak the text size etc. by right clicking on the screen and then using the plus and minus buttons in the bar that pops up from the bottom of the screen.
You can also add the article to your favorites using the heart button at the right side bar, add it to archives by using the tick button, etc. You can return to the previous screen by using the back arrow button at the top left of the screen. You can access all the archives, favorites etc. by clicking on the downward arrow button next to the heading at the top in the main screen of the app, which reveals a pane with all these options from the left side of the screen. You can see the same in the screenshot below.
This sums up the main features of Poki for Pocket for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices.
