Comic Reader For Windows 8 With A Difference: NARR8

NARR8 is a free comic reader app for Windows 8 and 8.1 with a difference. The app allows you to access a large database of comics which you can read online and even allows you to download them. It has a huge collection of free comics, and offers paid comics as well for readers who would want to go a step further and donate to the developers of this amazing app. The app makes for a good download not just because of its ability to allow you to read a plethora of comics online, but also due to the fact that the comics which are available in the app are also accompanied by background music which adds to the immersive experience of the comic. The background music varies from page to page, giving a fit environment for the conditions in the situation being discussed in that particular page of the comic.

NARR8 is available for free from the Windows App Store.

Main features of NARR8 for Windows 8 and 8.1:

When you run the NARR8 app on your device, you will be taken to the below screen. This screen is the main interface of the app which allows you to choose the comic that you wish to read.

As you can see, you can access the tiles of various comics which are available in the app by clicking on those tiles. Once you have clicked on the tile of a particular comic, you will be taken to the reader interface of that particular comic which is shown in the screenshot below.

You can switch between the pages by either clicking on the arrow buttons on either side at the very bottom of each page, or you can choose to press the right mouse button which fires up the control bar from the bottom of the screen allowing you to switch pages by merely clicking on the preview of a page.
