In the game, you will feel the thrill and power of real life Monster Trucks, and also get to experience the handling of the same. The game tries to stick to true handling concepts of a monster truck, and you’ll feel like a pro truck driver. Being a simulator, it also gives a great idea of how the trucks behave in real life and how they will allow you to have control of their engines if you happen to drive the same on open roads. The graphics of the game are pretty good as well and overall the game has a nice feel to it. There are a large number of trucks available in the game which make for the game being even more fun.

Head over to the Windows App Store and grab the game for your device from the link at the very end of this review. Once that’s been done, fire it up from your Start screen and you’ll see an interface which resembles the below screenshot.
Just click anywhere on the screen or tap on it if you are on a touch screen device, and you’ll be taken to the below screen which can be dubbed as the gameplay interface.
The game has a large number of trucks which you can choose from. You can see in the above screenshot that the graphics of the game are pretty decent, and the controls of the game are pretty much self explanatory with either the WASD or the up-right-down-left arrow buttons with either of those control sets corresponding to acceleration, left turn, braking and right turn respectively. Hole the down arrow button or the S key for long and the truck will go into reverse gear mode. You can change your truck or reset the truck to the initial position using the Change Truck or the arrow button at the top right corner of the screen respectively. The screenshot below shows a different truck on the road.
There are various different trucks which you can choose from to stay entertained. Returning to the main screen of the game is as simple as pressing the Esc. key. This winds up the main features of Monster Truck Simulator 3D for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices.
