Shuffle Party is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Main features of Shuffle Party for Windows 8 and 8.1:
When you launch Shuffle Party on your device, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
You can see your Xbox Live sign in information at the top right of the screen. If you wish to start a game, all you have to do is to click on the Play Game button. When you click on the same, you will be presented with a layout wherein you will be able to choose from the various game modes which you wish to play. You can see these game modes listed in the screenshot below.
For instance, if you wish to play Bowling, click on the same from the left side, and then click on Play in the popup that appears. The same goes for the other game modes like Challenge, Shuffleboard and Pass and Play as well. Once you have chosen a game mode and clicked play on it, you will be taken to the gameplay screen.
Above, you can see the gameplay for Bowling. You can see that instead of the ball, we use a puck in the game as the game is played on a shuffleboard – in real life as well you use a puck on the shuffleboard, and not a ball. You have to hold the puck, aim it and slide it towards the bowling pins at the end of the shuffleboard. With a correct aim, you may even get a strike! After each frame, the scoreboard is displayed.
This isn’t the only game mode, and there are several other game modes in the game as well. In the screenshot below, you can see the shuffleboard game mode.
You can pause the game at any given instant by clicking on the pause button at the top left corner of the screen. The pause menu will then be immediately brought up on your screen in the following manner.
You can accomplish all the tasks like resuming, accessing the leaderboards, viewing your own achievements and accessing the main menu from the pause menu. This basically winds up all the main features of Shuffle Party for Windows 8 and 8.1.
