Windows 8 Maths Learning App: Core Score
Core Score is a free app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which enables you to learn math on your device. The app when launched has two ways to login to the app, one being the teacher login and the other being the student login. In the teacher mode, you can basically see what all questions are available in the app. In the student login, you can practice those questions and see if the questions which you have answered are correct or not. The app is pretty lightweight and makes for a good download on all devices running Windows 8 or 8.1. You can also use it if you don’t want to sign in to the app, by previewing the grade questions by clicking on the respective grade from the right side of the main screen of the app.
Core Score is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Main features of Core Score:
When you launch the app, you will be presented with its landing page. You can see it in the screenshot below.
From the above screen, you can choose to use the app as either a teacher or a student. Simply click on the respective option which suits your need, and then click on the grade (or class) from the right side of the above screen. The app has useful content for grades 3 up to 8. Once you have chosen the grade, you will be taken to the type of questionnaire selection which you can do by clicking on the beautifully designed tiles that show up on your screen.
Simply click on the choice that suits your needs. Now you will be taken to an MCQ type of page where you have to click on the correct answer from the list of options displayed.
When you click on a particular option, you will be shown if the option that you have guessed is correct or not. You will also see a detailed explanation of why it’s correct/ wrong.
Similarly, you can access the questions for other categories and other grades as well. This concludes the main features of Core Score.
