Windows 8 Logo
As we are getting closer to the release of Windows 8 Metro UI version, Microsoft has been unveiling a steady drizzle of information about its upcoming operating system, Windows 8. Well, I am quite sure you must be thinking of Microsoft’s latest tidbit. Let me tell you, its an all new Windows
When I first had a look over the new Windows Logo, my reaction was, “finally Windows is a window, and not a flag any more…its plain, clean, very simple, and matches the Windows 8 Metro interface very nicely, however, it’s a little boring.” Well, that’s my opinion. Anyways…
Gone are the days when Microsoft’s Windows logo was colorful, and used to have flag-like ripple. The all new Windows 8 logo is a simple plain rectangle, divided into fourths, and has been angled outward.
Sam Moreau, Principle Director of User Experience for Windows, said, “”Windows” really is a beautiful metaphor for computing and with the new logo we wanted to celebrate the idea of a window, in perspective. . Microsoft and Windows are all about putting technology in people’s hands to empower them to find their own perspectives. And that is what the new logo was meant to be.”
Windows 8 Consumer Preview is expected to get released by the end of this month, however, the company has taken its own blog for announcing the latest tidbits about Windows 8 such as its new features, parts of Windows 8 operating system in detail. And about Windows 8, Microsoft has highlighted “It’s a window… not a flag”.
