Windows 8 App to Watch Art Videos: Art Attack
Art
Art Attack is available for free from under the Entertainment category in the Windows App Store.
The feature set of Art Attack:
The Main Screen: In the main screen of the app, you will be able to select the category of the video tutorial which you want to watch. Once you have selected the video category, you will be taken to the next page where you will be shown the tiles of the video thumbnails which you can click on to watch the tutorials themselves. This video selection interface is shown better in the following screenshot.
The video selection screen is nothing but a horizontally scrollable list of videos which you can click on to begin their playback. You can see from the above screenshot that the app is highly optimized for touch devices via means of gigantic tiles which are good to look at, and at the same time are difficult to miss! Once the tiles have been pressed, you will be taken to the video player interface.
The Video Player Interface: The video starts playing in a full screen format as soon as you click on a tile in the video selection screen.
The app allows you to resize the video as well via means of the white resize button conveniently located at the bottom right screen corner. This will make the video player interface of a smaller size. The playback controls in the app can be revealed at any time via hovering over the video which is playing back.
Snapped Mode and Multitasking: The app can also be snapped to either side of the screen, thus allowing you to multitask. You can see this principle explained in the below screenshot.
