Windows 8 App To Test Math Skills: Quickly!…Kid
Quickly!…Kid is a free Windows 8 and 8.1 app which allows you to test either your or your kid’s math skills, and maybe even sharpen the same. The app has a very refreshing interface, which is incredibly fun to look at as well as use. The app works very fluidly, and what’s great about the app is that when you launch it, you can either start the game directly which is nothing but a series of mental math problems, encompassing all sorts of operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, or you can simply click the Instructions button which allows you to leaf through the how to of playing the game in brief. Basically what you need to do in the gameplay screen is that you have to type the correct answers in the blank text fields when the questions are presented to you, and if the answers that you enter are correct, you will be shown a green tick, or a red cross. You get a minute to answer as many questions as possible, and you can keep an eye on your score at the top of the screen.

When you fire up the Quickly!…Kid app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device, you will be greeted with the below interface.
In the above screen, you can either choose to directly start off the game by clicking on the Let’s Go button, or you can choose to view the Instructions by clicking on the button which corresponds to the same. If it’s your first time, it’s always advisable to go through the instructions. When you click on the Instruction button, you will be presented with the below interface where you can basically read through the rules of the app.
The back arrow button at the top left of the screen allows you to go back to the previous screen that you were on, and when you click on it, you will be taken back to the main menu. Now, you can choose to start the game. Once the game has been started, you will be presented with the gameplay interface which looks like the below shown interface.
You can see that you are presented with pretty basic problems on your screen which allow you to test your mental math skills. All you have to do is to type the correct number in the white text field, and if your answer is correct, you will be shown a green tick button, otherwise you’ll be shown a red cross. You can keep an eye on your score of correct and incorrect answers and remaining time at the top of the screen.
