Shoot Balloons In This Free Windows 8 Game: Balloon Shooting
Balloon Shooting is a free game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices which allows you to pop balloons via means of a catapult housing stones. You start off with a limited number of stones (10 stones, to be precise). It’s game over when you run out of all the stones. The number of stones may be limited initially, but you gain more stones if you pop more than one balloon with a single stone. Popping two balloons gives you one extra stone, three balloons gives you 1+2 extra stones (total three extra stones), and so on.
Balloon Shooting has a nice interface, works smoothly, does not lag, and is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Main features of Balloon Shooting for Windows 8 and 8.1:
When you install and fire up the Balloon Shooting game app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device, you will be straight off taken to the main screen of the game which is very easy to comprehend, with just a Start button at the center of the screen. You can see this in the screenshot below.
When the Start button is pressed, you will be taken to the gameplay screen which resembles the screenshot below.
All you have to do is to drag the catapult band towards the left side of the screen, and when you release the band, the stone will be fired in the direction in which you let go of the band. You can see in the screenshot above that I have popped a purple balloon with a stone which can also be seen next to it. You can pause the game at any point of time by either clicking on the pause button at the bottom right corner of the screen, or you can also press the Esc. button on your keyboard to accomplish the same. You can see all your vital stats like the score and the remaining stones at the top of the screen. The score is present at the top-center, whereas the number of stones left are shown at the top left of the screen. Once you run out of stones, it’s game over and you will be shown the game’s performance analysis screen.
You can see your best score, choose to go back to the home screen of the game (via the HOME button) or you can also choose to restart the level via the RESTART button. This is basically a wrap for all the main features of the Balloon Shooting game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices.
