VH1 is the official VH1 channel app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. When you launch the app, you will be presented with the official VH1 channel content within the app. The app runs in a very smooth manner and makes sure to keep you entertained with all the exclusive content at your fingertips. The app has categorically sorted content like Music, Recipes etc. which can be selected via the control bars. The app also allows you to login with your cable credentials so that you can access the locked content as well. This can be done via the app’s settings.

When you install and launch the VH1 app on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
In the above screenshot, you can select the tiles by clicking on them and when you do so, you will be presented with a screen where you can easily view the VH1 content that you clicked on. As for me, I clicked on a video tile and I was immediately presented with a video player that showed the video that I selected.
The video player has fairly easy to understand controls, with the standard play back and seek bar at the bottom of the screen. You can also adjust the volume here. At any point of time, you can return to the main screen of the app by clicking on the back arrow button at the top left corner of the screen. Talking about the main screen of the app, there is also a control bar which can be accessed by right clicking on any empty area of the screen.
The control bar above allows you to choose from various categories of the shows which you want to view. You can also go to the live episode by clicking on ON AIR NOW button at the top right, and at the bottom of the screen, you can access the SETTINGS of the app which will allow you to login to the app with the credentials provided by your cable tv provider. This will allow you to unlock and view featured and HD content for free.
You can select from a large list of providers for accomplishing this task. In the control bar, I previously talked about categories which can be viewed by you. When you select a category, you will be taken to the episode selection screen from where you can click on content that you wish to view, and the clicked content will begin playback in the video player screen.
