Free Yoga App For Windows 8: Simply Yoga

Simply Yoga is a free Windows 8 app that allows you to practice Yoga and get in shape at the convenience of your own home. When you install and launch the app, you will be able to choose from a list of preset workouts based on timings for the same. Each workout is accompanied by videos that demonstrate how to perform the exercise and these can be paused at any time by clicking on them. You can change the exercise by clicking on an exercise name at the left side of the screen, and what’s great about this app is that it allows you to workout when you aren’t connected to the internet as well, because it stores the videos for offline viewing. Some sets of exercises need to be purchased, but you’ll do fine without them as well as the videos which are available for free are great as well!

Features of Simply Yoga for Windows 8:

When you install and launch the Simply Yoga app on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.

Towards the left side of the screen, you can view your recent exercises, and towards the right, you can choose from the 20 minute, 40 minute or the 60 minute workouts by clicking on their respective tiles. Once you choose a tile, your workout videos will start as can be seen in the below screenshot.

You can see the video player interface on the right side of the screen, and the names of the exercises towards the left. You can click on the video player box to pause the video at any time, and you can also use the arrow buttons on either side of the video player screen at the bottom to switch over to the next exercise. You can also switch between exercises by double clicking on the exercise name at the left side of the screen which you want to perform.

As the workout I have selected is a 40 minute circuit, hence the videos will keep playing one after the other for 40 minutes, and you are expected to follow the lady in the video as she performs the steps. Thus, at the end of 40 minutes, you will be totally drenched in sweat that will remind you of the sweet workout that you just performed!
