Free Windows 8 App To Translate Text: Translator Free

Translator Free is a free language translation app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which lets you translate a phrase or sentences of text from one language to another. When you launch the app, you will be presented with a very minimal interface wherein you will be able to type the text at the top text field, and this text will automatically be converted to the language selected in the text field at the bottom. The app supports a ton of languages like Spanish, French, English, Afrikaans, etc. and the translation process is very smooth. As a plus point, the app allows you to switch between Google’s and Microsoft’s translation engines, which in turn is helpful for you to understand how translation works for these two services.

Translator Free is available as a free download from the Windows App Store.

The text field at the top of the screen is the input field where you actually have to type the text, and this text that you type here will be automatically converted to the language that you have selected in the text field at the bottom. To change the input or the output language, simply click on the country’s flag at the top text field or at the bottom, and you will be taken to the language selection screen which looks like the below screenshot.
