Free War Game For Windows 8 And 8.1: Total Conquest
Total
Total Conquest is available as a free download from the Windows App Store.
Features of this Free War Game for Windows 8…
Total Conquest is a nice game to play which has multiple side missions along with the main missions of battling and capturing empires. When you launch the game, you will be presented with a screen which looks like the below screenshot. Here, the lady Diana will inform you of your missions.
In the above screen, you can skip through her dialog by clicking the tick at the top right of the dialog box. You can also wait for the whole dialog to be displayed. The above dialog in particular informs you of the storyline of the game – Caesar has died and the responsibility to defend the kingdom has fallen on you. You have to defend your kingdom and also attack the other kingdoms to stay full on resources etc.
Missions: Throughout the game, you will have to complete missions. These will include battling, as the main missions. A battle will look like the below screenshot.
It might not be clear, but in the above screenshot, the soldiers are attacking the resources of the enemy kingdom. You can choose which troops to deploy by clicking their icon at the bottom, and then clicking on a location on the map where you wish to deploy them. After a victory, you will be awarded battle rewards, and you can continue on to the next mission from the reward screen.
You can launch attacks by clicking on the battle button in the bottom right corner of your kingdom’s screen.
Upon clicking it, you will be taken to a screen where you can choose to launch the campaign.
Upon clicking on the campaign button, you will be presented with a list of kingdoms that you can choose to attack. Simply click on a kingdom to launch an attack!
You can also build buildings to store resources, etc. To do so, simply click on the Market button in the screen of your kingdom, and choose the building that you wish to build.
Clicking on a building to build it will drain that amount of resources from your treasury, and you will be able to choose the location where you want to place the building.
So this is how the game progresses. Overall, the game is based on mouse clicks and there are no dedicated controls in the game for performing actions, apart from mouse clicks. You can collect taxes from buildings by clicking on them, train units etc., and finally when you complete missions, you level up and gain points!
You will be shown the above screen when you level up. You can share this screen via the connection on your Windows 8 system through the share charm, as clicking on the Share button will fire up the sharing charm. Well, this concludes the main features of the game. So to sum it all, this game is pretty interesting with the option to recruit new units, build new buildings, train your existing units and attack the empires; thus aptly titled Total Conquest!
Also try Frozen Free Fall and Medieval Apocalypse.
