Free Online Music App For Windows 8: Hungama MyPlay

Hungama MyPlay is a free app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which lets you hear music from a variety of genres of music. The app allows you to listen to music from online sources, and hence in a way it is good for people who are looking forward to saving space on their device by not downloading music mp3s. The app allows you to sort music by genre, and you can also make combinations depending upon your mood and the year that the music track was released by selecting the same from on screen controls. The app has all it takes to be a decent music app for all Windows 8 and 8.1 devices.

Main features of Hungama MyPlay for Windows 8 and 8.1:

When you install and run the Hungama MyPlay app on Windows 8 devices, you will be presented with the landing page of the app which resembles the below screenshot.

In the above screen, you can select the mood of the song that you wish to play from the left side of the screen, and you can then select the time that the music track was released via the slider under the spinning disc. Then simply tap on the disc to reveal the tracks that you wish to play. Alternatively, you can also select a category by clicking on it from under the Categories tab, and then you can select a track from the tracks displayed according to the category that you selected from the right side of the app screen. You can navigate to the right side of the screen by horizontally scrolling towards the right side of the screen. The below shown results were displayed when I selected the Bollywood category.

You can then click on any of the songs that are displayed in the above screenshot, and then begin playback. When I clicked on a particular album, I was presented with the below shown interface.

Simply click on the track that you wish to play from the album, and its playback will begin with the playback controls displayed at the bottom of the screen. Similarly, you can look up multiple categories of songs like International, etc. You can also click on multiple tracks, and they get added to the playlist automatically. You can access the playlist by clicking on the triple lined button at the bottom of the screen. All in all, this sums up the main features of the Hungama MyPlay app for Windows 8 and 8.1.
