Free News App For Windows 8: NewsHunt
NewsHunt is a free app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 which allows you to easily read news pertaining to various countries, and also allows you to easily select the newspapers that you wish to read for the same country. The app when launched on your device, allows you ton easily select the country that you belong to, and after that, it also allows you to select the newspaper and your regional language as well. Once all that is done, you can select the source of the news that you wish to read. Overall, the app is well designed, and makes the entire process of reading news a lot easier than it is with using traditional apps.
NewsHunt is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Features of NewsHunt for Windows 8…
When you install and launch NewsHunt on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 machine, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
In the above screen, all you have to do is to select the country to which you belong. Simply click on the circle from the area that you are from, and once that is done, you will be taken to the next screen of the app which allows you to select the news sources and the news language.
In the above screen, you will be able to easily choose the language at the top of the screen. I chose to go with English, as that’s the language which I am most comfortable in. Once I chose English, I was presented with the next screen of the app, where I was able to choose my favorite newspaper from the sources.
Once you click on a news source, you will immediately be displayed the relevant news information in the next screen of the app. In the next screen, you will see that the news items are displayed to you in a tiled interface. You can also call the below screen the content screen of the app.
If you wish to change your news source, simply click on the Select Sources button at the top left corner of the screen, and you will be presented with a screen which allows you to easily select the sources. This is basically the same screen In which you selected the newspaper source and the language in the first place. You can also click on the red menu button, again the top left screen corner which allows you to choose the type of news which you wish to read.
When you click on a news item, you will be presented with the reader interface which looks like the below screenshot.
