Simple Runner is a free endless running game for Windows 8 and 8.1 in which you have to make the block jump over flying platforms. It’s game over if you miss a platform and fall on the ground. The game has very simple but nice looking graphics at the same time, and has only two controls, space to jump and double press the space button for a double jump. You can also tap on the screen if you happen to be on a touch screen device to perform the same gesture. Simple Runner is lightweight and runs without any lags on Windows 8 and 8.1 devices.

When you run and launch the Simple Runner game app on your device, you will be presented with a screen which resembles the below shown screenshot.
In the above screen, you can see a white colored block on the platform. The block keeps on accelerating automatically and you have to make it jump onto the other platforms ensuring that the block doesn’t fall down. If it falls down, then it’s game over. You can see the distance that your block has travelled at the top center and the best distance at the top left corner of the screen. The spacebar makes the block jump and double pressing it makes for a double jump of the block. When the game gets over, you will be presented with the below screen wherein you can access your score.
You can press the spacebar or tap on the screen to start a new game all over again from the above screen. The game keeps everything very minimalistic, and there are no needless toggles etc. keeping the design of the game pretty neat!
