Racing 3D: Need For Race on Real Asphalt Speed Tracks is a free car racing game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which allows you to race against the computer. The app is well designed, lightweight (for its graphics), has great background music and once you start playing the game, you will definitely keep coming back for more. The game becomes quite an addiction if you are a racing freak, and even if you aren’t, you will still love it. The game has a large collection of various levels that you can play.

Upon installing and launching the Racing 3D: Need For Race on Real Asphalt Speed Tracks app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device, you will be shown the following interface.
You will be able to see your game currency and the shop options at the bottom of the screen, and you will also be able to see the Play button in green in the above screenshot. When you click on the Play button, you will be presented with the below shown interface.
As you can see, you will be asked to select the car that you want to use. Initially, only one car is unlocked, and you can see it in the screenshot above. You can unlock more cars using the game currency that you win after winning races. Once you are happy with your car selection, you will be taken to the screen shown below.
The above screen is where you will select the game mode which you wish to play. Once you have selected that, you will be taken to the track selection screen.
Upon selecting the track, your gameplay should start. Once started, you will be able to see all the cars lined up and ready to race. You can use either the on screen touch controls, or the up and down arrow keys for acceleration and braking, left and right arrows for movement, spacebar for handbrake and shift for nitrous. You can see the nitrous toggle on both ends of the screen. This is a nice addon as it will be helpful to both left and right handed users who play on a touch device. Once a race is completed, you will be shown the following message.
Now, you will be shown your gameplay analysis and your star rating as well!
Post this, you will be allotted new cars (based on your performance). Typically you are awarded a new car whenever you level up.

The app is everything what a racing game needs to be and hence makes for a great app for all game freaks out there! It’s really hard to believe that a game with such high level graphics is available for free and that too, it’s so lightweight (under 100 Mb).
