Windows 8 Free Family Organizer App: Cozi Family Organizer
Cozi Family Organizer is a free Windows 8 app that allows you to easily jot down and organize the important events in your family life. The app allows you to keep track of birthdays by adding calendar events, allows you to maintain journals and also allows you to create shopping and to do lists. The best part about the app is that with just one login id, you can allow your entire family to access the app as the app has a shared id principle. The app is pretty well designed, and allows you to maintain and keep track of the events in your day to day family life.
Cozi Family Organizer is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Main features of Cozi Family Organizer for Windows 8:
When you install and launch the app, you will be presented with the main interface of the app wherein you will be prompted to login to the app with your Cozi id. The app needs you to login to continue, and if you don’t have an id, you can click on the Sign up button in the main screen, upon which you will be taken to the sign up page for the app. The main interface of the app resembles the below screen.
Once logged in, you will be taken to your profile’s home page. The home page of the app is shown below.
In the main page of the app, you can choose to perform a variety of tasks, which includes options that allow for adding and accessing events to your calendar, etc. If you use an Android device or use Google Calendars, you can import the events from Google calendar to within the app. Just click on the Import to calendar link and log in with your Google id in the screen where you are prompted to do the same, approve the permissions, and in the next screen, your importing process will begin.
Once imported, you can access your calendars by clicking on the Calendar button at the left side of the screen.
Via the controls in the toggle bar on the left side of the screen, you can also choose to create shopping lists, To do lists, plan meals etc. For instance, if you wish to create a shopping list, simply click on the Shopping button at the left side of the screen.
Simply type the items that you wish to add to the list, and press the enter button to add the items. Similarly, you can create to do lists as well. The To Do list creation screen is shown below.
