Trello is quite easy to use, however its various components and working will be better explained through an example. Once you launch the app you will be asked to create an account or use your Google account credentials to login to the app. Once you login, you will be presented with Boards and Cards. Let’s have a detailed look on this.
- Board: Here we can add a new project. In this example, I have taken a simple project of “Mom Dad’s Anniversary Planning” As shown below:
While creating a board, you can invite people you want to involve in the project. You can also pin this board on the Start screen as a tile and get notification updates.
- Once the board is created you can create Cards. Consider these cards as tasks, which will be assigned to various team members. A card contains a task description and attachments. Apart from that, you can also create a checklist in a card to keep track of the its progress.
- You can attach a document or image in the card, along with creating a checklist. Once the task is finished, you can click on Archive Card (the bottom flyout option) to mark it as done.
You can create as many cards as you want and assign tasks to multiple poeple. Likewise, you can create multiple Boards to accomplish various activities, either on your own or with the help of a team.
