Windows 8 Scrabble Game Free: Spell It
Spell
I did not notice any lag while playing this Windows 8 scrabble game on my device. The game also works well on Windows 8.1 devices. So without further ado, let’s read more about this game in detail!
A quick introduction of this free Windows 8 Scrabble game…
When you launch Spell It on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with an interface that allows you to choose the gameplay mode.
You can set your name in this screen and choose the game type that you wish to play. You can choose the computer difficulty level, or you can choose from the three options at the bottom-
PASS & PLAY: Allows you to pass the device and play with your friends who might be sitting with you in the same room that you are!
AGAINST COMPUTER: Obviously, as the name suggests, this option allows you to play a game against the computer.
PLAY ONLINE: This option matches you up with other users who might be waiting to play online with someone. This is a pretty cool feature and is like playing against the computer, the difference being that a real player will actually be making the moves!
You can set your name in the text box in the above screen. By default, your name is Player 1.
Gameplay…
When you start the game vs. computer or vs. online opponent, or maybe even against a friend in your own room, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
Here, from the tray of letters, you can choose the letters and form words out of them. You can also chat with the player if you are playing an online game via the Chat button at the bottom-centre of the screen. The objective of the game is to make the move with the combination of letters that may give you the maximum possible score!
You can continue to play until you either win or lose the game, or you can resign from the game. Overall, Spell It is a pretty nice game to have on your Windows 8 device if you are looking for a game that allows you to sharpen your vocabulary skills, and have some fun while playing!

Conclusion…
Spell It seems to be a very well designed game in its entirety. The game is a great take on the traditional scrabble board game, and it plays very smoothly. The interface of the game is pretty decently designed, and the ability to compete with online players makes the game all the more better!
This game definitely deserves a score of at least 8 out of 10.
