Windows 8 Piano App With Multi-touch Support: Piano Lite
As the title of this review suggests, Piano
Piano Lite is available for free from the Windows App Store.
The features of this app:
When the app is installed, you will be able to open it up via its icon in the Start Screen of your device. When you click on the Piano Lite icon in your start screen, the app fires up pretty quickly and provides you with a large sized piano on your screen.
The piano shown in the screenshot above has multiple octaves, which is quite an achievement for an app designed to fit on a small screen. The way that the app accomplishes this is that it allows you to scroll the entire piano to the left or the right side of the screen using the left and right arrow buttons on your keyboard. You can see that I have scrolled the piano towards the right in the screenshot below if you will compare it to the screenshot shown above.
To scroll the piano I simply pressed the right arrow button on my keyboard. You can scroll in the reverse direction via the left arrow button. You can play the piano by simply using your mouse clicks or if you have a touch screen device, you can tap the screen to play the corresponding notes which you hit. You can see that I have pressed the E note in the screenshot below (the 7th note from the left side of the screen).
This concludes the how to of using the Piano Lite app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device.
