Windows 8 Match 3 Puzzle Game: Sweets Mania Space Quest
Sweets Mania Space Quest is a free Windows 8 match 3 puzzle game in which the aim is to match three or more similar sweets together in a line by dragging them together. The gameplay principle is much like the popular Candy Crush Saga game, and the game is beautifully optimized for Windows 8 and 8.1. The game runs smoothly without draining much battery and has cute little alien creatures who will guide you in the game. In the game if you are able to match more than 3 sweets, you will be awarded special candies which can blow up entire lines or all candies of the same color with which they are grouped. These will only become available to you when you match four or more similar candies.

Main features of the game:
The game can be installed via the link at the bottom of this article. Upon installation when you launch the same, you will be presented with a language selection screen.
When you have chosen your language, the game will prompt you if you want to link it with your Facebook account to save your progress. Click login if you want to do that, else click on the cross button.
Now, you will be presented with a big Play button at the center of your screen. Click on it and you will be taken to the level selection screen.
When you click on a planet (level preview), you will be taken to the stage selection screen. The first stage in the first level is the tutorial stage. When you click on it, you will be presented with a brief intro video.
You can choose to skip this too. Once that’s done, you will be taken to the gameplay screen of the first stage.
Stage 1 being the tutorial stage, you will be guided in a step by step manner about how you have to play the game. When you swipe a candy together with two other similar candies to group and match them, they disappear from the screen awarding you points in the score meter at the top of the screen in a manner as shown below.
You also get certain special candies by matching four or more which have the capability to destroy entire rows by clubbing them with two other similar candies.
Once the level is complete, you are shown your score and your performance.
You can then choose to restart the level, play the next level and so on. This concludes the game’s main features.

Sweets Mania Space Quest is a well-designed game for Windows 8 and 8.1 where you test your skills to make the best possible combinations of similar sweets in the least possible time, thereby attaining a high score. I simply love the game and its graphics, and also the fact that it’s so lightweight and ad-free at that.
