Windows 8 Game For Pokemon Fans: Who’s That Pokemon

Who’s That Pokemon is a great game for Windows 8 and 8.1 designed to the likes of Pokemon fans. The game is based on recognizing the Pokemon shown in the image. The game is extremely well designed and although it weighs in at a big size of about 60 Mb, it’s worth the download! In the game, you will be shown a silhouette of the Pokemon and you get a limited time to guess the name of the Pokemon. To guess the name, all you have to do, is to type the name of the Pokemon in the name field at the bottom of the screen and click on the Guess button. When you do that, the Pokemon will be revealed from the silhouette and if your guess was correct, you will be awarded points. The game also has a large online leaderboard where you can compete with other people playing the game.

Who’s That Pokemon is available for free from the Windows App Store.

Main features of Who’s That Pokemon for Windows 8 and 8.1:

When you run the game on your device, you will first off be presented with a short video of various Pokemons, which is a great way to introduce the app in my opinion. A screenshot of the same is attached below.

Once completed, you will be taken to the main menu of the game.

From here, you can either choose to Play the game or access the leaderboard or the settings of the game.

Leaderboard: This is the place where you can see the high scores of other people playing the game.

You can return to the previous menu using the back arrow button at the top left.

Settings: As the name suggests, you can tweak the game’s settings here. The various settings that can be tweaked, can be seen in the screenshot below.

Gameplay: When you click on the Play button in the main menu of the game, you will be taken to the level selection screen.

Once the level has been selected, you will be brought to the gameplay screen of the game itself which can be seen in the below screenshot.

As you can see above, you will be able to see a silhouette of the Pokemon who you have to guess. You have to type in your answer in the field at the bottom of the Pokemon’s silhouette and click on the Guess button. Once the guess button is clicked, the Pokemon will be revealed.

You can see that I guessed correctly in the above screen and so my score went from 0 to 40. Each correct guess gives you 40 points. When the level is completed (due to too many wrong guesses), you will be shown the below screen.

Here, you can type your name in the text field and choose to submit it to the online leaderboard, or you can choose to play again. This winds up the main features of Who’s That Pokemon for Windows 8 and 8.1.
