Windows 8 App To Create Live News Tiles: News Live Tiles
News Live Tiles is a free Windows 8 app that allows you to pin Live tiles of news items on your Start Screen. When you install and launch the app, you will be presented with a screen which allows you to choose the source of the news from the various available sources, and when you choose the source of the news, you will easily be able to set the live tile to your Start Screen. The app has an overall nice feel to itself, and is designed in a way which is completely minimal and true to the Windows 8 ecosystem.

Features of News Live Tiles for Windows 8:
When you install and launch the News Live Tiles app on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with a screen that allows you to choose the source of the news that you wish to view the news from. When you launch the app, you will be shown a brief introduction to the app, which you can skip by clicking on the Close button.
Once you have done that, you will be taken to the next screen of the app which looks like the below screenshot. This is the screen which allows you to choose the sources from which you want to view the news.
In the above screen, you will be able to select the news sources from the left side of the screen. From the left side of the screen, you can click on the news source from which you want the news to be fetched from. Once you have clicked on the news source, you can then search a particular search term via the search bar. Then, you can scroll to the right side in the above screen, and select the type of the live tile that you wish to view. Once you have selected the background color of the tile and everything has been set up, you will be able to see the live tile on the screen upon click on the pin to start button.
You can see the live tile pinned to the Start Screen in the above screen towards the bottom right. Let’s take a closer look at this tile now.
You can see that the headlines are fetched from the website easily. In the main interface of the app, you can also configure the update interval of the app via the Settings charm. This can be opened up by pressing the Win+I button, and then clicking on the Settings button in the pane that flies in from the right side of the screen. You can then view the Settings charm of the app which looks like the below screenshot.
You can set the update interval, choose to update only on WiFi, etc. This app makes for a great app if you want to easily and quickly view the headlines of news without actually visiting the news website. Overall, this is one well designed app which makes for a great way to view news from your favorite sources without a hitch!

The app allows you to easily view news in a format of tiles which keeps getting automatically updated in short bursts, and overall, is a great app for news buffs!
