Top Gear: Race The Stig is a free car racing game for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. In the game, you have to swerve from the sides of obstacles, and jump your car over some obstacles to create a high score. When you install and launch the game, you will be presented with a screen where you will be able to start a new game by simply tapping on the screen or clicking on it on non touch devices. After a race is complete, you will be shown the results of your performance on the screen which will be presented later on. From that screen, you can also choose to buy upgrades and power-ups for your car.

When you install and launch this app on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with the main screen of the app from where you can choose to start a new game by simply tapping or clicking on the screen. This screen will look like the below screenshot.
Once you have tapped or clicked on the main screen of the app, you will be presented with the gameplay screen. If it is the first time that you are playing the game, you will be presented with a brief tutorial of the game where you will be told about the controls of the game. The controls of the game are ridiculously easy to understand, and they are very basic. The car automatically accelerates, and you can strafe right or left using the right or left arrow buttons to avoid obstacles. You can use the up arrow button to jump over small obstacles like police roadblocks and oncoming cars in the traffic. The gameplay screen resembles the below screenshot.
You will see golden nuts as pickups in the gameplay which you can use to purchase upgrades in the game shop. Once the game is complete, you will be shown a screen with your performance results. This screen looks like the below screenshot.
You can pause the game at any time during the gameplay by pressing the Esc. button or by pressing the pause button at the top right of the screen. Once that’s been done, you will be presented with the pause menu where you can tweak various settings like sound, music, etc. The pause menu of the game looks like the below screenshot.
