Super Mario Like Game For Windows 8: Bouncy Monster

Bouncy Monster is a free game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which is designed in a Super Mario like style. In the game, you control the cute little blue astronaut like creature and make him jump over platforms to collect coins while making sure that he doesn’t hit any of the bouncing ball like monster creatures. If it hits a monster, it’s game over. The app has cute graphics which you will surely love, and the aim of the game is to jump over as many obstacles or platforms as possible and hence collect as many coins as you can before you die or hit a monster.

Main features of Bouncy Monster for Windows 8 and 8.1:

When you install and fire up the Bouncy Monster game app on your device, you will be presented with the main menu of the game with just the start button. Once you click on the Start button, you will be taken to the gameplay environment of the app wherein you will be able to see your game avatar and the ball like monsters bouncing around all over the place. You can see the gameplay interface of the game in the screenshot shown below.

You can see that I’ve already moved the blue creature to the right side of the screen. You start off at the extreme bottom left. You can avoid the monsters by using the arrow keys to move around, or you can tilt your device (on touch devices) to perform the same action. To jump, simply swipe on the screen in the direction you want to jump (again, only on touch devices), and for non touch devices, use a combination of the arrow key and the spacebar for making a jump in the direction that you want. Pressing the spacebar makes the blue creature jump straight up, and so you need to guide it in a direction with the help of the arrow keys. You can see the blue creature (your avatar) in the middle of a jump in the screenshot below.

Once your game is over, you will be shown your gameplay stats on your screen. You can then choose to quit the game or restart the game from the screen which shows up.

The game is a bit challenging, and as you can see, I was unable to score anything. Avoiding the monsters becomes a tough task, but nevertheless, it’s very entertaining at the same time!

The verdict:

Bouncy Monster is a well designed game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which allows you to while away your time while having a lot of fun. Getting a high score in the game can get a bit challenging, but overall the game has almost all it takes to present you with some sort of a challenge while staying extremely fun and entertaining at the same time.
