Online Chess + is a free online chess game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices. The game when launched on your device allows you to start a game with a list of opponents available to you. Overall making for a very fun and challenging experience as it allows you to play with players online with different sets of skills. The game can not be paused as it’s an online game and hence you need to be sure of your moves which you want to play and you also lose points for the delay in making a move.
Online Chess + is available for free from the Windows App Store.
The feature set of Online Chess +:
When you run the game on your device, you will be shown the below screen.
You can choose to log in or play as a guest. As you can see in the screenshot below, I chose to play as a guest but it’s pretty easy to login to the app with your social account. Once logged in you will be shown the below screen.
You can start a new game by clicking on the New Game button at the top of the screen. The button matches you with a random opponent. Now you will be presented with the gameplay interface.
When you make a move, you will be presented with the squares which glow.
Upon making your move, you have to wait for your opponent to make a move. You can see your score at the top left of the screen. This wraps the main features of Online Chess + for Windows 8 and 8.1.
