Official OLX App For Windows 8: OLX Free Classifieds
OLX Free Classifieds is the official OLX app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. If you aren’t already aware of what OLX is, it is an online service which allows you to buy and sell used and new stuff online. The app’s interface looks great, and when you launch it, you will be presented with a grid view of popular items for sale under their category headings. You can also search for particular items via the search bar located at the top right screen corner, and you can set your location at the top right.
OLX Free Classifieds is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Features of OLX Free Classifieds for Windows 8:
When you install and launch OLX Free Classifieds on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with a screen which looks like the below screenshot.
The first thing that you might want to do in the above screen is to set your location. To set your location, simply click on the down facing arrow next to the location listed at the top, and you will be presented with a drop down menu where you can set your location by country and locality.
Once your location has been set, you will be able to view relevant ads on your screen, in the same grid type pattern. Once you click on an ad that suits your needs, you will be presented with a detailed view of the ad interface, where you will be able to see things like photos of the item for sale, its description, asking price, etc.
You can also post a reply to an ad by pressing the Reply button in the above screen which shows you the ad details. Once you click on the reply button, a pane will fly in from the right side of the screen, and here you can type a reply to the ad and it will be visible to the ad poster. The reply pane looks like the below screenshot.
The above pane allows you to enter details like your name, address, phone number, and your message that you wish to send along with the reply. Clicking on the send button will post the ad reply in just a jiffy! To post an ad, simply right click in the main screen of the app, and select the Post an ad button from the control bar at the bottom. This is the only button on the control bar, so there is no scope for pressing the wrong button. Once that’s done, you will be presented with an interface that allows you to easily post an ad as you can see in the below screenshot.
Above, you can add photos, choose a category, and then scroll and post item description, necessary details like cost, contact info etc., and you can then post the ad by clicking the post button. It’s literally that simple!
