Mirrors Of Albion is a free app which can be downloaded from under the Games category from the App Store.
Features of the game:
Mirrors Of Albion when installed and run on your device will present you with an interface as you can see below.
Here, you will be introduced to the main elements of the game itself and how you have to play the game. This can be summed up as the game’s tutorial. Cheshire Jr. the cat will guide you through the main elements of how you need to play the game, introduce you to the storyline of the game and basically tell you everything that you need to know about the game to play it. Simply click on the blue buttons wherever they pop up on Cheshire’s dialog to skip through his dialog.
The game has a map laid out on which you can click on buildings to interact with them. Each building is a potential crime scene and hence needs to be investigated to search for possible clues. The below screenshot shows a hidden object level where I just found an item which was listed at the bottom of the screen.
Once you complete a level, you get certain rewards, and a star rating as well.
After a certain stage in the game, you start to level up. Each level up gives you experience points and awards you with energy bonuses.
Oh, and talking about energy, the game gives you a limited amount of energy points which you will eventually use up. These energy points take time to refill, but if you are a hardcore player, you might also want to purchase more energy from the game shop with real currency. If you look closely in the screenshot above, you will notice that in the app’s main screen, you have a toggle bar at the bottom from where you can choose to control certain aspects of the game. For instance, you can click on the Settings icon at the bottom right to toggle the various settings of the game.
You can also access the various quests by clicking on the magnifying glass button at the top left.
This wraps the main features of the Mirrors Of Albion game for Windows 8 and 8.1.

And Confucius says:
Mirrors Of Albion is an amazingly crafted app with awesome artwork and gameplay sequences which are sure to keep you enticed and thrilled at the same time. The game is a little on the heavier side though (size-wise), so you might want to watch out for that.
Without any doubt, I would definitely rate it a well deserved 5 out of 5!
