Meme-maker is a free app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which allows you to choose from a variety of built in meme templates and create your very own memes by adding text to templates. The app also allows you to create memes out of your very own pictures that are saved on your device, and also allows you to use your webcam to click photos and create memes. The app is very lightweight, and has a very pleasing interface to the eye. The app makes for a very good download for Windows 8 devices if you are looking for an app which allows you to create memes with just a few clicks.

Main features of Meme-maker for Windows 8:
When you install and launch the app on your system, you will be presented with the main interface of the app which allows you to create memes right off the bat by allowing you to either choose from the built in templates, or by allowing you to click photos, or use your camera by using the tiles corresponding to the same in the main screen of the app. The main screen (or the launch screen) of the app resembles the below screenshot.
I chose to create a meme from a built in template in the above screen by clicking on the Template tile. When I clicked on the same, I was presented with a long list of meme templates on my screen which I could easily choose from to create a meme. You can see the various template tiles displayed in the screenshot below.
When you click on a particular template, you will be now taken to the main screen where you can actually create memes. This screen looks like the below screenshot.
In the above screen, you can easily see that new memes can be as easily created as merely typing the top line and the bottom line text. You will be able to see a live preview of the meme towards the left of the screen. You can then save the created meme via the control bar of the app which can be accessed by right clicking on the screen. Saving the meme is as easy as clicking on the Save button on the control bar, selecting a location where you wish to save it and voila! Your meme is created!
In the main screen of the app, you can also choose to create memes by using your own images or by capturing an image using your device’s webcam, as there is native support for both these features in the main screen of the app. This basically sums up the main features of the Meme-maker app in a nutshell.
