Free Reminder App For Windows 8: RemindMe

RemindMe is a free reminder app that is available for Windows 8 and 8.1 to help in reminding you all the important things you want to be reminded of and track them for the time until they end. At the startup of the reminder app, you will be asked for permission if the app can run in the background and send you notifications and show quick status. Click on Allow or block, depending on what you want it to do.

Creating reminders within the reminder app is easy. All you have to do is click on the plus (+) icon on the top right of the screen of the reminder app and you will be taken to another page where you will be asked to add the details about the reminder. You will have to mention “What to remember?”, pick reminder type like in relative time, on a specific time and no notification.

In relative time reminder includes details like enter a time, sound, recurrence and preview and save the reminder. On a specific time reminder, pick a date and time, color, sound, recurrence and preview and save the reminder. In no notification, you can specify a color category of reminder to stop sending you notifications on your Windows 8 and 8.1 computer.

Once a reminder has been made, it will appear as a tile on the home screen of RemindMe app in the color chosen in the color of the notification. The reminder shows the description of the reminder you have written, the status of the reminder and in how much time it will take place.

The app has a nice and clean user-interface having simple colors of very light brown and cream and red. You can access menu of the app using the right click, it will show options including clear expired, delete all and sort. You can clear all the expired reminders with the help of clear expired, delete all the reminders with the help of delete all and sort the reminders by date or color.
