Free Pool Game For Windows 8: 9 Ball Pool

9 Ball Pool is a free Pool game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 with multiplayer mode support. When you launch the game, you will be taken to its main menu wherein you will be able to choose the type of game that you wish to play. You can choose to play either 2 Player mode or beat the clock mode. The 2 Player mode as the name suggests allows you to play against your friend wherein you take turns to fire shots, and in beat the clock you have to clear the table before the time at the top of the screen runs out. The game runs well on touch and non-touch devices.

9 Ball Pool is available for free from the Windows App Store.

Main features of 9 Ball Pool for Windows 8 and 8.1:

When you run the game, you will be presented with its main menu where you can choose the desired type of gameplay by simply clicking on the desired option.

You can also tweak the game settings at the top right in the above screen itself. When you have chosen the desired type of game, you will be brought to the gameplay screen itself which can be seen in the screenshot below.

Here, you can click and drag your mouse to change the angle of the cue ball and the stick, and you can also place your ball on the table by clicking the mouse and then dropping the ball at the desired position on the pool table. You can also click on the camera button at the bottom left of the screen to change the camera angle, and the white button with a red dot to record your game. You can fire your shot by clicking on the cue ball button at the bottom right, and the longer you hold that button before you release it, the more powerfully your shot will be fired. When you fire the shot, the camera mode changes to top angle view where you can see the shot in action.
