Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood is a free mystery game for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. The game is a sequel to Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek, and I must say that this is even better. The game is a great improvement over the prequel with better graphics, better cinematics, and almost everything else. Just like the prequel, the game has a large number of hidden object scenes, clues and evidences scattered all around the map, and your job is to collect them and hence find the people who have gone missing.

When you install and launch Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with the main screen of the app which looks like the below screenshot. In this screen, you will be prompted to enter your name, and only then you can proceed further.
Once you click OK after entering your name, all you have to do is to click on the Play button in the main menu, and you will be greeted with the fabulous and stunning cinematics of the game which are sure to blow you away with their sheer awesomeness!
These movies will appear throughout the course of the game, and will assist you in understanding more about the storyline of the game. You can skip these at any time via the conveniently positioned SKIP button at the bottom of each cut scene video. Once the game starts, you will be greeted with the eerie atmosphere and background score with a sense of mystery to it. You will be prompted if you want to initiate a tutorial or not. If you choose to start a tutorial, you will be shown the controls of the game in brief, which are based on click and play.
You can click on sparkling objects or even on objects which you can’t see properly and you will be able to uncover evidences and useful clues. You may also discover various items (inventory) along the way which may come handy to you, and you can access these at any time via the inventory box at the very bottom of the screen. Your notebook is the collection of evidences and clues that you have uncovered, and you can open it at any time by clicking the notebook icon at the bottom left of the screen.
You can also use hints via the Hint button at the bottom right. This will help you during hidden object scenes, puzzle levels, or simply anywhere where you get stuck. You can even talk to people by clicking on them wherever you find them, and they will help you out in some way or the other. You can access the pause menu of the game by pressing the Esc. key. This menu will give you various options as shown in the below screenshot.

Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood is a brilliantly designed game with amazing graphics, great background score and a mystic feel to it. The game offers a nice way to pass your time when you are bored, and overall makes for an amazing pass time for people of all age groups. I absolutely love the design, and everything about the game, the only thing that I don’t like is that the game is a whopping 688.5 MB in size. So if you want to save on space, you might want to give this game a pass!
