Free Event Planner App For Windows 8: Previte

Previte is a free event planner app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which allows you to plan any and all types of events on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device. The app runs great on all devices and the best part is that it’s interface has big tiles which makes for easy operation on touch screen devices. With just a click, you will be taken to the planning page where you can create your event. Here, if you are logged in, you can also share the event plan with your friends on Previte. They can then post comments on the event plan. The plan can be created with just a few small clicks.

The feature set of Previte:

When you run Previte, you will be presented with the main interface where you can create a new plan by clicking on the Start Planning button. You can also choose to log in to the app, but if you don’t do that here, you can do that later on in the app. Login is not required if you want to plan for yourself, but while planning big parties or other such events for friends, etc., you can login and create an online plan where everyone can comment and express their views.

Once you click on the Start Planning button, you will be taken to the next screen of the app, where a plan can be created in a few easy steps.

Simply click on the text fields and input the information that you wish to add to the plan. The outline of a created plan should resemble the below screen.

To save a plan, you can click on the Save Plan button at the top right of the screen. Once that’s done, you will be taken to the main screen of the app again, where you will be able to see your plan along with the other plans that you might have created.

You can comment on a created plan by clicking on its tile, and then clicking on the comments bubble in the interface that follows.

Comments can also be added by your friends to the plan if at all you have made an online plan. Similarly, if any of your Previte friends have created a plan, you will also be able to see that plan in the main interface of the app. To sum it up, this concludes the main features of the Previte app for Windows 8 and 8.1.

Verdict:

Previte is a well designed app for Windows 8 with the event planning functionality. The app has an offline as well as online mode, both of which have their separate purposes. The option to allow friends to see and comment on your event makes for a great addon to the app.
