Free Car Racing Game App for Windows 8: Car Rush

Car Rush is a free car racing game app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices which allows you to easily control and guide the car across the roads without crashing it. The game plays in a full screen interface, and hence makes for a good immersive experience. The game allows you to easily control the car via the arrow keys, the right and left arrow buttons allowing you to navigate the car towards the left and the right side of the screen respectively. The down arrow button allows you the brake, and the car accelerates automatically. The game has cute graphics, and the best part is that there are obstacles on the road which need to be dodged, making the game more challenging. The obstacles can be in the form of other cars, animals, or merely street lamps.

Features of Car Rush for Windows 8:

When you install and launch the Car Rush game on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with an interface which resembles the below screenshot.

All you have to do in the above screen is to click on the screen to be taken to the gameplay screen of the game. The gameplay screen of the game looks like the below screenshot.

You can see your vehicle’s health at the left, and your score at the top right corner of the screen. The app also allows you to collect certain pickups which are displayed below your score, and these pickups look like small gears. The more gears you collect, the higher your score. As you collide on the sides of the road, or on other cars or on animals on the road, your vehicle’s health gradually decreases to the point when it’s game over. When it’s game over, you will be shown your score, along with an option to restart the game. You can pause the game at any time via the esc. button, or by clicking on the pause button at the top left corner of the gameplay screen.

You can resume the game via the resume button, or you can go back to the home screen by clicking on the home button in the top left of the pause menu. In the home screen of the game, you can also choose to change certain settings as well. These settings allow you to control the sound and music, view controls of the game, etc. Clicking on the settings icon in the home screen opens up a menu like the one show in the below screenshot.
