Backgammon Deluxe is a free Backgammon game app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. The game app is based on the same principle of the original Backgammon game, and the game works extremely smoothly on both Windows 8 touch and non touch screen devices. When you launch the app, you will be presented with a brief tutorial of the game, and once the tutorial level is complete, you will be able to start a level by selecting the difficulty level. When all your checker pieces are off the board, you win! Before starting a game, a dice is rolled to see who moves first.

When you install and launch the Backgammon Deluxe game app on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with the main screen of the game which is actually the tutorial screen of the game. Upon opening the game, you will be presented with the below screenshot, which will prompt you whether to start the tutorial or not. It is recommended for first time players to play the tutorial so that they can get accustomed to the controls and the rules of the game.
Once you start the tutorial, you will be shown various rules and the tips of playing the game, and after that, the tutorial level will be completed. Once the tutorial is complete, you will be prompted to start the game with the difficulty level of your choice. You can choose the difficulty level, play to, etc. and then start the game via the Start button at the bottom of the screen.
The game will now start. You will be presented with the gameplay interface of the game which looks like the below screenshot.
Your aim is to remove all your checkers from the board before the opponent can do the same. In the end, you should be left with 0 checkers on the board. You play with the white checkers, and the computer plays with the black ones. You can return to the main menu of the game at any time by simply pressing the home button at the top right corner of the screen. once pressed, you will be presented with the main menu. Upon completing a level, you will be shown your performance details in a pop up dialog box which looks like the below screenshot.
You can choose to start a new game, or return to the main menu of the game using the above screen. This basically concludes the main features of Backgammon Deluxe app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices.
