When you install and launch the app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device, you will be greeted with the app interface which looks very futuristic, and hence the app gives a very modern feel.
When you click on any of the tile in the main screen of the app, you will be presented with an interface wherein you will be able to read about the content that you have just clicked on. For instance, if you click on an image tile, you will be presented with the image tile that you have clicked on. The app has various categories that you can choose from to view content from, and these categories are listed in the main screen of the app. The various categories are Featured, See, Images, Learn etc.
The above interface is presented on your screen when you click on the Images tile. As you can see above, you are presented with a list of captioned image tiles. Let me go ahead and click on an image tile.
When you click on an image, you will be shown that image in the full screen size, and the news related to that image will be shown towards the right side of that image. When you look up content using the search bar, you will be shown search results ranging from a wide range of formats, including video results, image results, news results, etc. which can be selected via the category tabs according to which they are sorted. The screenshot below shows a video result being played back. The video that I selected showed solar eclipse on Mars.
