Free Video Editing App For Windows 8: Cinelab
Cinelab is a free Windows 8 video editing app which allows you to edit your video clips at the convenience of your home. Basically, the app allows you to merge two video files into one. When you install and launch the app, you will be presented with an interface which allows you to open the video clips, and when you do so, you will be able to merge them easily into one large video file. You can then choose to save the video file via the control bar of the app. The control bar of the app allows you to easily save files, open files, etc.
Cinelab can be downloaded for free from the Windows App Store.
Features of Cinelab for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
When you install and launch Cinelab on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with a brief tutorial page which you can either view, or choose to skip from the controls at the bottom of the screen.
Once you are presented with the main interface of the app, you will be able to add video clips easily to this video editing app to edit the video file in its entirety by clicking on the Add clip button. When you click on the Add clip button, you will be taken to the file browser screen from where you will be able to browse and easily select the file that you wish to edit.
In the above screen, you can click on the Add clip button to add a video file. You can see in the below screenshot that I have added two video files.
Here, you will be able to see the video files and the timeline. You can select the time frame of the video in the clips that you have added separately, and then you can click on the save button in the control bar of the app. Once you click on the Save button, you will again be presented with the familiar file explorer screen where you can navigate and choose the folder where you wish to save the video clip. Once you click on the save button, the export of the video starts, and the video files are merged in almost no time. The control bar at the bottom of the screen also allows for other features like allowing you to select all clips, clone the video file, clear selection etc.
In its entirety, Cinelab is a powerful video editing app that is definitely worth a look!

Cinelab is an amazingly powerful video editing tool which allows you to easily add and edit videos on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device. Overall, the tool is sufficiently powerful to merge videos with convenience, and offers a nice interface which is freakishly easy to understand and comprehend. The overall experience offered by the app is great in all senses, and the best part is that the tool is ad free. The only drawback of the app is that it only saves the video files in m4v format, but that’s a drawback that we are willing to deal with!
