Teach Your Kids With GuruCool PlaySchool For Windows 8

GuruCool PlaySchool is a free app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices which allows you to teach your preschool kids at your home. The app allows you to teach your kid the alphabet, numbers, colors etc. via fun and interactive puzzles. The app is well designed, and has a large number of levels that will keep your child entertained while learning new things at the same time. When you install and open the game, you will be presented with an interface which allows you to easily select the level that you wish to play. The app also has a section which allows you to access the parent settings which allows you to keep track of your child’s progress throughout the various levels of the game.

Features of GuruCool PlaySchool for Windows 8…

When you install and launch GuruCool PlaySchool on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.

As you can see above, you are presented with a screen where different items are displayed. The first object is the shape puzzle, the second is the letter puzzle, the third is the number game, the fourth is the color game and the last one is the underwater game. Below I have explained all of these in a little more detail.

Shape Game: If you click on the shape puzzle icon in the main screen of the game, you will be presented with a screen where you will be first given a shape and then you will be asked to fit the shape into various spaces where the shape can fit. Then you will be told the name of the object in which you just fit the shape!

In the above screen, the black shape (circle in this case) has to be dragged into the gap at the center of the sun, and then you will be told (in a soothing female voice) that the object is a sun. This will continue for a long time for various objects, and then you will be given a new shape which you can fit into even more objects. This way you can learn the names of the shapes and also the objects you fit them into.

Letter Puzzle: When you select the second icon in the main screen of the app, you will be presented with a letter puzzle in which you have to fit the outline of the letter parts into the gaps provided into the shape of the letter. This is a really fun way to learn the alphabet.

When you complete a letter, you will be shown an object whose name starts with the letter associated with the puzzle.

Number Game: Here, you will be shown various numbers on your screen in a large font, and you will be asked to perform various tasks related to that number.

Color Splash: This mode allows you to learn the names of various colors, and this mode can be accessed by clicking on the fourth icon from the left in the main screen of the app. In this mode, you will be shown a color, and then you will be shown certain objects of the same color.

Above you can see that the color is yellow and various yellow colored objects are shown on the screen. The voice in the background also tells the name of the color so you can learn how to say the name of the color easily.

Underwater game: Here, you can play a game and be entertained for a while. All you have to do is to click and drag the arrow pointer to the end of the lines shown, and you will reveal a new object!

In the main screen of the app, you can also access parent settings which can be viewed by clicking at the top left corner. You can see your child’s progress through the app here, and you can also choose to reset the same if you like!

You can also change the sound settings in the above screen. Overall, this sums up the basic features of this app!

GuruCool PlaySchool is a great app to download on your device if you want to teach your preschool kids or younger cousins while having fun at the same time. The kids are really going to enjoy the app, and I’m sure that you will love the app as well for its functionality and its ability to allow kids to learn with such ease! I absolutely love the app, and will rate it a 4.5 out of 5!
