Scooby Doo is a free Windows 8 app that allows you to watch Scooby Doo cartoons for free on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device. When you install and launch the app, you will be presented with an interface where you can select the season from which you want to watch the episodes. Once you have selected the season, you can then select the episode by clicking on it, and upon clicking on an episode, you will be taken to the video player interface where you can use the standard playback controls to control the video playback. All you need for the app to work is an active internet connection, and you will be good to go!

When you install and launch Scooby Doo on your Windows 8 or your Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with the interface which resembles the below screenshot. As you can see, you will be able to select the season from this screen for which you want to select the episode to play back.
Once you have chosen a season, you will be taken to the episode selection screen. As you can see in the above and the below screenshots, the app is designed in a way that it feels native to the metro ecosystem, as it offers tiled interface throughout the app.
You will be presented with a scrollable list of episodes as you can see in the above screenshot. Clicking on any one of these episodes will take you to the video playback screen, where you will be able to watch the episode itself. Make sure that you have an active internet connection, or the episode will not load at all! Depending on your internet speed, the video will take time to load, and you will be able to see a Loading screen.
Once the loading screen has been bypassed, you will be shown the episode itself. The loading text comes up on the screen whenever the episode stops for buffering. If you have a fast internet, you won’t ever see the loading text during your episode playback! You can see that the playback controls are aptly positioned at the bottom of the screen where you can choose to play, pause, stop or change the volume of the video. You can also seek the video using the timer bar (or the seek bar).
The above screenshot will give you a brief idea of how the episode will look like during playback. You can reveal the playback toggles at any time by right clicking anywhere on the screen. You can see that there is an ad at the right side of the screen, but don’t worry, it won’t cover your episode, because the Scooby Doo episodes were shot in 4:3 format rather than the traditional 16:9 video format that we see today. Hence they don’t take up the full screen and play only in a small space at the center of the screen.
