Windows 8 App to Copy Text Across Multiple Devices: Kopy

Kopy is a free app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices that allows you to copy text across multiple devices. There might be a lot of situations when you might come across a link on your cell phone which you might want to share with your laptop, but thought that this couldn’t be done easily and instead have to type that link letter by letter in your browser’s address bar which might be a pain. Kopy helps you out in such situations and also when you just want to share information across multiple devices. The app allows you to create a Kopy account which can be used on multiple devices via the same account and hence whatever you upload to that account will be available across all your devices running Kopy app.

This app is useful for you even if you don’t have another Android, iOS or Windows 8 or 8.1 device as you can still use the app on one device and access the copied text via the app’s website by logging in to your account on Kopy.

Kopy is available for free from the Windows 8 App Store.

Features of Kopy for Windows 8:

When you launch Kopy on your device, you will be presented with the below interface.

Here you can login at the top right corner, and if you want to quickly copy a portion of text to your devices via Kopy, type in your text at the field on the left at click on Kopy button. Once you are logged in, the text that you entered and pressed Kopy on in the main screen of the app will be sent to all your devices via Kopy. Once logged in you will be presented with the below interface.

You can see that you can send messages by typing in the text field at the left and clicking on the Kopy button. When you click on the Kopy button, it changes to Koping, and uploads your text to your Kopy account so that it can be easily accessed on your devices. Once I sent this text to my account, I verified if it was working by logging in to a friend’s Windows 7 machine on and these were the results.

You can see that the message that I sent has been successfully received on the other machine. You can then choose to copy this text, delete it or bookmark it. You can also do the same while you are logged in to the app as the app allows performing all these functions. Once you bookmark a portion of text via the app, you will be presented with that text under the Bookmarks category.

It will also get bookmarked in the Kopy website page automatically, and on all your devices running Kopy.
