Free Windows 8 App To Listen To Music: Raaga
Raaga is a free app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices which allows you to listen to music on the fly. All you need is an active internet connection, and you are all set to use the app. When you launch the app, you will be presented with a grid of popular tracks in the main screen of the app, which you can click on to start playing them. You can also select a particular category from the left side of the screen from which you can choose to play relevant music. The music player controls will appear at the bottom of the screen.

When you install and launch Raaga on your machine, you will be greeted with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
As you can clearly see in the above screenshot, you will be able to choose the track that you wish to play back by selecting it from the main screen of the app. In case the track you want to play isn’t listed, you can search for the track from the control bar of the app which can be launched by right clicking on any empty area of the app. In the below screenshot, you can see the playback controls at the bottom of the screen, and the control bar toggles at the top. You can use the search button in the control bar at the top to search for the tracks that you want to playback. You can also use the other controls at the top to perform relevant actions.
If you look to the left of the screen, you will be able to see a bar of various toggles listed, namely Raaga Live, Browse, Artists, etc. You can click on any of these buttons to be taken to the corresponding screen from where you can play back even more tracks. For instance, the Remix button will take you to a screen where you will be able to access the remixes of popular songs, and so on.
If you look at the top right, you will see a button named Channels. You can click on this Channels button, and you will be able to select the desired language channel from a drop down menu that will pop up on your screen upon clicking on this button.
The app also supports background playback, and supports snapped mode for multitasking as well. The app is completely free of ads, and you can also choose to login to the app via your Google Plus or your Facebook account. This will allow you to share the tracks that you listen on the app with your friends as well!
