Free Bible Reader App For Windows 8: Glo Bible
Glo Bible is a free Bible reader app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. The app lets you read the Bible in detail, and if you’re a Christian and don’t have your Bible handy on a trip, you will love this app! The app lets you read various sections of the Bible in detail like the Old Testament or the New Testament, and you can also read through the sub sections of like Matthew, etc. The app also has a large collection of images in the media category which are related to the Christian faith.
Glo Bible is available for free from the Windows App Store.
Features of Glo Bible for Windows 8:
When you install and launch the Glo Bible app on your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 device, you will be presented with the login screen (if it’s the first run of the app). The app needs to be logged in to show you content. The first run screen looks like the below screenshot.
Once logged in, you will be taken to the main screen of the app itself which looks like the below screenshot.
In the above screen, you can use the search bar to find stuff that you are looking for in particular, go to the complete Bible via the Bible button or go to the Media category by clicking on the Media button. When you click on the Bible button, you will be presented with a nice view of the Bible sorted by Testaments (Old or New). You can see this interface detailed in the below screenshot.
You can read through any of the listed sections in detail by clicking on them. When you click on them, you will be presented with the contents of that section.
You can click on any one of the links in the contents section to be presented with the reader interface which features the article in a horizontally scrolling form. You can see the reader interface in the below screenshot.
You can go back to the previous screen at any time by clicking on the back button at the top left of the screen. In the main screen of the app, there is a button labeled Media. When you click on the Media button, you will be presented with media files related to the Christian faith. Basically these are image files which can be viewed in full screen view upon clicking on them.
When you click on any of the above tiles, you can see the media file in full screen view. When I clicked on a media file, I was presented with an interface which looked like the below screenshot.

The verdict:
Glo Bible is a nice Bible app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices which has a clean interface. The app allows you to easily read the Bible when on the go, and makes for a great download. It’s lightweight, has no ads and also works in snapped mode.
